Our King of Peace Metropolitan Community Church invites all of our St Petersburg area neighbors to join us for our community Open House.
On Saturday, March 30, 2019, our beautiful church at 3150 5th Avenue North in St Petersburg will be open to give our neighbors the opportunity to meet our Pastors and staff and to tour our sanctuary, reception and meeting spaces.
Founded in 1968, Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC) has been at the vanguard of civil and human rights movements by addressing issues of race, gender, sexual orientation, economics, climate change, aging, and global human rights. MCC was the first to perform same-gender marriages and has been on the forefront of the struggle towards marriage equality in the USA and other countries worldwide.
Tours of our building will be offered in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language.
Additionally, our Children’s Church will be open and visitors will have to opportunity to meet our teachers and find out more about our extensive Children’s Church program.
We hope that you will consider joining us to meet King of Peace members and staff to learn more about our worship services, personal enrichment programs, and community outreach.
The open house will take place from 10 am – 2 pm; we hope that you will join us to learn more about our open, affirming and inclusive Christian family and enjoy some food and door prizes.
